Loudoun Homeless Services Center
The mission of Volunteers of America Chesapeake is to provide needed human services and resources that lead to dignity, self-reliance and hope for all that we serve. The core values of the organization are caring, quality, respect, faith, and trust.
Volunteers of America Chesapeake (VOAC), under contract with Loudoun County, has operated the Loudoun Transitional Housing Program since its inception in 1991 and Loudoun Emergency Homeless Shelter (LEHS) since 2003. In September 2009, LEHS moved from its remote location on The Woods Road, to its current location on Meadowview Court. The new location expanded the capacity from 24 beds to 31 beds for single women and families and added 13 beds for single men. In October 2009, VOAC began operating the Drop in Center, and in November 2009, opened the Cold Weather Shelter.
