Through community-based living centers, known as Residential Rehabilitation  Programs, Volunteers of America Chesapeake provides people who are mentally ill with the opportunity to live independently outside of an institutional setting. 

Additionally, Volunteers of America Chesapeake reaches out to adults who reside in other programs or a home of their own but who may need extra support due to their mental illness.
